God Jul with Ole & Lena: A Norwegian Christmas Adventure

Get ready for an evening of laughter, heartwarming moments, and cherished Scandinavian traditions as Ole and Lena discover what it truly means to celebrate God Jul. From playful family mishaps to unforgettable holiday surprises, this delightful Christmas comedy brings Norwegian customs to life with plenty of humor along the way.

The festivities begin with their daughter leading the family in the beautiful St. Lucia tradition, dressed in white with a crown of candles as she serves warm saffron buns (lussekatter) and coffee before dawn. The family then joins their community for a candlelit Christmas service at the historic stave church, where the St. Lucia procession fills the sanctuary with light, music, and hope.

Next comes a joyful julebord feast, where cousins gather around the table to share delicious holiday favorites, stories, and laughter. But the adventure isn't over! On their way home, Ole and Lena discover they've forgotten an important Christmas custom—leaving a bowl of rømmegrøt (or porridge) for the mischievous nisse. Before long, the playful little fellow reminds them, in his own unforgettable way, that Christmas isn't just about receiving blessings—it's about sharing them.
