Welcome to The Uffda Show! We’re the Nupson family—Bryan, Amber, Erick, and Lena—and we’re on a mission to keep Scandinavian heritage alive through laughter, music, storytelling, and a healthy dose of “Uffda!”
Bryan and Amber are best known for bringing the beloved Norwegian characters Ole and Lena to life on stage. Whether they’re navigating pioneer life, celebrating Scandinavian holidays, or finding themselves in one hilarious misunderstanding after another, Ole and Lena never fail to leave audiences laughing.
Our youngest cast members, Erick and Lena, play themselves and bring energy, imagination, and plenty of fun to every performance. From singing and dancing to sharing jokes and adventures, they help make The Uffda Show a true family experience.
Scandinavian culture isn’t just something we perform—it’s how we live. We’ve traveled across America attending Scandinavian festivals, celebrations, and heritage events, and we’ve explored the Nordic countries together as a family. Walking the streets of Norway, visiting historic villages, sailing the fjords, and experiencing traditions firsthand has allowed us to share our heritage with our children in a way that brings history to life.
When we’re not on stage, you’ll often find us at church, rollerblading as a family, cheering on Minnesota sports teams, exploring new destinations, or collecting stories that eventually find their way into our shows. We believe the best memories are made together—and the funniest ones usually involve an Ole and Lena joke.
At its heart, The Uffda Show is about family, faith, heritage, and laughter. Our goal is to create entertainment that grandparents, parents, and children can enjoy together while celebrating the traditions that connect generations.

Our ensemble of up to ten performers transforms every production into a lively variety show featuring traditional Norwegian folk dances, live music, theatrical performances, and unforgettable comedy. Throughout the show, audiences are treated to colorful costumes, energetic choreography, and authentic cultural experiences inspired by the Nordic countries.
Our musicians perform a mix of traditional and contemporary Scandinavian-inspired music using guitars and traditional Nordic instruments, creating a rich soundtrack that transports audiences from the fjords of Norway to the prairies of the American Midwest.
The cast also portrays villagers, pioneers, Vikings, immigrants, festival-goers, and beloved storybook characters, helping create immersive scenes that celebrate Scandinavian life through the centuries. Whether they’re dancing around a midsummer pole, performing in a frontier settlement, singing folk songs, or joining Ole and Lena in one of their hilarious adventures, every cast member plays an important role in bringing the magic of The Uffda Show to life.
